AeroVibe 45 (20mm)- A Well Control Racket! / by Tinkeringeek
For fairness, I am comparing this racket to a well-known model that has received numerous positive reviews from both recreational players and pros, the 6.0 Ruby. This way, there is a good reference point to evaluate its performance. Here are the specifications:
Overall size: negligible size difference. The width, length, and handle are basically the same.
Thickness: Kasaca = 20.96 mm; Ruby = 19.05 mm; Kasaca is slightly thicker than Ruby
Weight: Kasaca = 7-7/8 oz; Ruby = 8 oz. Almost negligible.
Responsiveness: This is subjective and dependent on the player. That said, for me, the Kasaca felt more control with less pop than the Ruby, as expected. I played with Franklin balls, so I have eliminated the variation in ball bounce. I found that the Kasaca offers better placement than the Ruby, but delivers less power. Both rackets offer similar spins, with Ruby having a slightly more pronounced one. As to the grip, I would give it to the Kasaca; it felt solid.
Looks: Both rackets look very nice. One can’t go wrong with the color of the Kasaca.
The main difference is the cut-outs in the Kasaca racket. I am not convinced that these cut-outs improve my game, nor did they help with speeding up my swings. I think this is more aesthetic than performance. The Kasaca racket comes with a full racket cover, which is superior to the half-cover of the Ruby.
