The grip has the raised spiral for grip control and I found to be very comfortable. If you like to play the spin game, this paddle would be a great fit for you. Even if you're not taking advantage of the spin, I found a very generous sweet spot giving consistent pop while still being able to switch to a dink by loosening my grip. Overall, this is a great paddle. I'm glad it comes with the case to protect this investment.
